The fifth solo exhibition of artist Nikola Milekic, titled “Behind the Green Wall”, will be open on Monday, November 20, at 7 PM in the KvART BW exhibition space, on the ground floor of Galerija near entrance 1.
Milekic plays with motifs that oscillate between figuration and abstraction, thus creating a unique visuality and aesthetics. The artist places vague outlines of figures in spaces filled with vivid colors and light-dark contrasts. Through his work, Milekic aims to achieve a painterly exploration of the relationship between the group and the
individual, which is the inspiration behind the exhibition's title.
Nikola Milekic was born in 1991 in Belgrade, and he completed his undergraduate, master's, and doctoral studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts. He received the Faculty's award for color drawing study in 2014, as well as the award for painting “Đorđe Bosan, painter and professor at ALU” in 2016. In addition to his five solo exhibitions, he has
participated in more than ten group exhibitions.
The exhibition “Behind the Green Wall” is organized by ŠTAB Gallery and the artistic initiative KvArt BW. The exhibition will be open until Sunday, December 3, and the working hours of the KvART BW gallery
are every day from 11 AM to 9 PM. Entrance to the exhibition is free.
